Since October 2023, over 60,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza according to local health authorities. Around 90% of the population has been displaced, many of them multiple times.
A ceasefire was declared on 10 October 2025. According to OCHA, at least 786 further fatalities have been recorded in Gaza in the months that followed.
In the West Bank, settler attacks and military demolitions have displaced over 2,500 Palestinians in the first months of 2026 alone — already approaching the totals of the entire previous year. The International Court of Justice is examining allegations of genocide. Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, B'Tselem, and a 2024 UN Special Committee report have described the situation using terms including apartheid, ethnic cleansing, and genocide.
This Agency does not recognise the legitimacy of the military operations that have produced this landscape.
